Q. Are your Hair Extensions made from 100% Human Hair?

A. Yes! All of the hair we supply is 100% Human Hair. We guarantee that none of our hair extensions contain any synthetic, or animal hair blend. We only supply the best quality that we can possibly find.

Q. How many Easy Loops/I-Tipps will I need?

A. To do a complete full head most people will use approx 150-200 strands. if you have fine hair you may only need 100-150. A "half head" is generally considered to be 100 strands. 50 Strands is normally recommended to give some highlights.

Q. Will Easy Loops & I-Tipps cause damage to my natural hair?

A. While we have not seen damage caused by Easy Loops or I-Tipps we must point out that it is possible. Extra care needs to be taken when you have any type of bonded hair extensions and this includes glue in or beaded hair extensions. We recommend brushing your hair with a "Loop" brush which is especially made for hair extensions. It is also best to hold you hair at the nape of your neck and brush or comb very slowly from the bottom to the top, working out any tangles as you go. This prevents pulling on the bonds which can cause extensions to slide. Also it is a good idea to get into the habit of running your fingers up through your hair around the bond area to work out any tangles. Simply done when watching television!

Q. What is the difference between Easy Loops and I-Tipps?  Which ones should I buy?

A. The only difference between Easy Loops and I-Tipps is the application method. The hair is the same, and once in they look exactly the same. To find out more about the difference between Easy Loops and I-Tipps please visit the How to Guides page which explains both methods in more detail.

We do not recommend Easy Loop hair extensions for people that have fine hair, or for hair that tends to be a little oily.  For boths these types of hair we suggest that you purchase I-Tipps as the beads that are supplied with this method are non-slip silicione lined and grip onto fine hair much better.

Q. How do I care for my Hair Extensions?

A. DO NOT use protein based products on your hair extensions.  This can and will cause tangling and matting.  Damage can happen instantly and is irreversible after just one use of a protein based product.  We will not replace hair which has become tangled and matted as most times this is caused by incorrect care.  We recommend washing your hair with products formulated especially for hair extensions.  If you have permanent hair extensions please avoid any type of hair products that contain silicone as they are not recommended for permanent hair extensions as they can make them slide.  Also, do not use shampoo with Protein as this will break down the hair and cause matting and tangling.  Sulphate is also to be avoided as it will dry out your extensions.  Keep hair down when shampooing, do not pile up on top of your head, or it will tangle.  Do not put conditioner near the bonds.  Brush hair gently from the bottom to the top. Be extremely gentle when combing wet hair.  Do not tug on it.  Do not comb your hair from the scalp down as it may pull too heavily on the bead if you have Easy Loops or I-Tips. Do not go to bed with wet hair.  When sleeping we suggest tying your hair back or braiding it to prevent pulling and tangling. A satin pillowcase is also great.

For Clip In Extensions please also ensure to comb from the bottom up. Do not pull as you will pull hair from were it is stitched into the wefts.  It is best to detangle your clip in extensions prior to clipping them in. Hold each piece  in a fist at the top, then comb gently from the bottom up. This will prevent pulling hair from the weft. Do not sleep with Clip In extensions.  Please remove each night. We recommend washing your Clip Ins only when required (generally every 30 wears is enough). They do not need washing after every use. Frequent washing will shorten the life span of your extensions. The least amount of times you wash the hair the longer it will last. Do not put them all at once in the sink as they will tangle. Wash each piece on its own by gently placing it in water and running your hand down the length of the hair with shampoo. Repeat with conditioner.

As the extensions do not receive oil from your scalp like your natural hair they can become dry. As much as we all love soft shiny hair, to expect hair extensions to stay this way is unrealistic.  When the hair becomes dry we recommend an oil treatment on the hair. Saturate dry hair thoroughly with oil and leave on the hair as long as possible then shampoo it out, and condition the hair.  Then restraighten with a hair straightener. This will bring new life back to your extensions. In the case of Clip Ins we have rescued some very tangled dry hair using the oil treatment. Put the oil on the hair and massage gently and well into the hair. Put hair in a platic bag and leave overnight if possible. Shampoo out the next day and then condition the hair. Then restraighten with a hair straightener.  Do this as often as required to keep the hair smooth and shiny.

With Tapes, I-Tips, Easy Loops, we recommend deep conditioning at least once, or even twice a week. You can do this overnight using a small amount of Argon Oil.

Remember....the more you wash your hair extensions, the more they will dry out.

Q. How long will my Tape Hair/Easy Loops/I-Tips last?

A. Most people tend to get 2-3 months of wear from permanent hair extensions before maintenace is required. A lot also depends on how quickly your natural grows. As your hair grows the extensions move down and away from your scalp and therefore become harder to care for and will need removing. Tape hair generally needs to be removed and retaped every 4-6 weeks. How long your hair extensions last will obviously depend on how well you care for them, and lifestyle. Hair extensions need to be cared for very gently, and the correct products used on them. Excessive use of hair straighteners and hair dryers will dry the hair out very quickly and therefore if you use these items on a continual basis your hair extensions will not last as long as they would if you did not use these items.

I-Tips may need rebonding as the bonds tend to break down with shampooing etc.  It is important to try and dry off the bond area if at all possible.  If the bond area remains wet, water will pool at the top of bead which will mean the keratin tip bond will become soft and break down quicker.

There is no definite answer on how long your hair extensions will last as there are a lot of factors which come into play. Hair care and lifestyle affect the life span of hair extensions. Frequent washing will also shorten the lifespan of your hair extensions. For this reason Clip In Hair Extensions normally last longer than the more permanent methods as they do not need to be washed as often. You do not need to wash Clip Ins very much at all. You are also not sleeping in them so they tend to last longer. Average use of the more permanent methods including Tape Hair, Easy Loops & I-Tips is 2-6 months. Some customers will get up to 9-12 months. These customers tend not to wash their hair as often, or go swimming, and do not colour or tone the hair.

We will not guarantee you how long your hair extensions will last because we have no way of knowing how they are cared for once purchased. Refunds will not be given once the hair has been applied.  Refunds will also not be given if the hair has been coloured.

Q. How long will my Clip In Extensions last? What about shedding?

A. If taken care of properly your Clip In Extensions can last a very long time. With Clip In Extensions you have the flexiblity of wearing them when you wish to wear them. If you feel like having long hair they can be clipped in in a matter of minutes. However if you do not feel like wearing them you don't! It is hard to say exactly how long your extensions will last as this depends on how often you wear you them. They could be worn, daily, weekly, monthly, or just for special events. Where you wear them, along with how you store them when not being worn, and how you care for them also determines how long they will last. How often you wash them will also determine how long they last. The less you wash them the better it is. As a general guide we recommend replacing your Clip Ins every 2-6 months with regular use. Having said this, we have also had customers who only replace their sets once or twice every 12 months.

Comb clip ins gently from the bottom up.  Hold in your fist at the top, and do not tug on the hair as this will pull it from where it is stitched at the top of the weft. Just as your natural hair sheds up to 100 hair strands per day, so will your Clip In Hair Extensions. Clip Ins will and do shed. This is unavoidable, due to excess hair which was not 100% secured during the making of the extensions. We allow a tolerance of up to 10% of the hair weight for shedding. Most shedding will occur at the beginning, but this will slow down. Please note however, that they will still continue to shed thoughout their lifespan. If this is annoying to you, you can use Weft Bond along the top where they are stitched. This will help hold the hair in place.

Q. Can I colour my Hair Extensions?

A. NO we DO NOT recommend colouring hair extensions as they have already been through extensive chemical processing and to do so may cause damage. If you do choose to colour your hair extensions we suggest taking them to a salon that specializes in hair extensions, and only using a semi colour on them. Colouring hair extensions is different to colouring your normal hair and extra care is required.  Do not colour Tape Hair right to the top over the bond area as it will break down the glue. We take absolutely NO responsibilty for any damage, or unwanted results caused by colouring or toning the hair extensions even if done professionally. This includes the use of Purple/Silver shampoos as these can also dry out the hair.  Results can also be mixed with Purple/Silver shampoos as the hair is very porous which can give patchy results. We suggest you choose the colour that is closest to your natural hair so that the hair extensions "blend" with your natural hair colour. Due to the processing that the hair is put through there may be a coating on the hair which may repel colour and not give the desired results. Colouring will also reduce how long your hair extensions will last. All hair extensions start out as dark brown and are bleached to blonde for the lighter shades and then dyed to give all the colours inbetween. This process can be a little harsh and therefore we do not recommend further bleaching.  Refunds will not be offered on hair that has been coloured or toned which results in an undesirable effect or hair condition. Hair is coloured or toned at the buyers own risk, and Cleopatra will not be held accountable or responsible for results.

Q. Can I style my Hair Extensions in any way I wish?

A. Yes. All of our hair extensions are 100% human hair with no synthetic in them at all. This means you can safely use your hair straightener, curler, or hair dryer on them. Please note that excessive use of heat on the hair extensions can dry them out just like your own hair. It is essential that you use a good thermal heat protectant spray on hair extensions before using heat.

Q. Can I reuse my Easy Loops/I-Tipp Hair Extensions?

A. If you purchase I-Tipps these can easily be reused if you have taken good care of them. All you need to do is purchase more micro beads and put them back in just like your first application. Sometimes after wear and shampooing etc the keratin bond at the tip of the hair extension strand my disolve or break down. In these cases before you can re-use the strands you may have to rebond them using Keratin glue and re-roll the tipps to enable them to be re-used.

If you purchased Easy Loops some of them may be re-used but it can be difficult. You will need to save the white plastic loops from your first application. Once the hair extensions have been removed you will need to push all the white plastic loops back up through the micro bead and then reapply. We also sell Loop Tools which can also be used to reapply Easy Loops. Please note that like all metal objects once the beads have been closed and reopened they have been weakend, and may break, and may also not grip as well the second time around. We generally promote Easy Loops as a one off usage product.

Q. Do you mix and match colours in your Clip In Sets?

A. No. We get our Clip In Sets from our manufacturer already prepackaged in sets of 8, 10 or 11 wefts per pack. We can not supply 5 wefts of one colour and 6 of another. All 8, 10 or 11 pieces in each pack will be of the same colour.

Q. Can I purchase more than one colour when I purchase 100 or more Easy Loops or I-Tipps?

A. You can mix and match colours as long as they are in multiples of 50 strands. The extensions come already prepacked in lots of 50 strands per pack, so if you purchase 100 strands you can choose two colours, if you purchase 150 strands you can have 3 colours etc etc. You can not purchase 20 strands of one colour and 30 of another.

Q. Can I exchange my Hair Extensions if they are the wrong colour?

A. Sorry...as Hair Extensions are classed as a "human product" Health Department regulations restrict us from accepting returns of hair extensions. If you are unsure of colour please request samples which we are more than happy to send out before purchase to ensure you choose the right colour.  If you have already purchased hair extensions and find that the colour is not correct we will exchange but not return.  Exchanges are only possible if the product has NOT been removed from the packaging or altered in any way.

IMPORTANT.....RETURNS & EXCHANGES

View our full Returns & Exchanges Policy Here

We will not accept unauthorized returns of Hair Extensions. If you receive your purchase and are in any way unhappy with it please contact us. Please also note...once the hair has been removed from its original packaging we are unable to accept a return.

NO REFUND under any circumstances on any used item. A used item will also include an item which has been removed from the packaging regardless of whether or not the product was used.

If you have been authorized to return a product it MUST be returned in it's original packaging and in the same brand new condition in which you received it. If an item is returned and we deem that it has not been returned to us in the original brand new condition in which it was sent then the item will be returned to you at your cost and no refund issued.

If you have purchased Clip In Extensions please inspect the hair BEFORE removing the bindings from the hair. Once the bindings have been removed we can not accept a return. If hair has been cut or coloured/altered in any way returns can not and will not be accepted under any circumstances. We offer no warranty or guarantee on hair that has been coloured. Do so at your own risk.

If a clip is loose these can easily be restitched back on using normal needle and thread. If clip is broken we will happily send you a replacement clip so that you can sew it back on. We will even include a few spares for you. Clips can and do break/come loose etc and as such we will replace the clip, but not the entire hair extension set. Clips are considered a consumable part of the hair extensions.

If you have purchased Easy Loops/I-Tipps please inspect the hair BEFORE removing the bindings. Once the bindings have been removed we can not accept a return. We suggest combing through the extensions prior to removing the bindings because once removed we will not exchange or return. Some malting of hair is normal. It is impossible for each and every strand of hair to be bound in the keratin glue. When first combed through you should expect to see some hair come out. This will settle however and is quite normal.

Removing the bindings indicates acceptance on your part that the hair is in good condition and suitable for your use.

If we are refunding your purchase for any reason only a refund of the purchase price will be issued*. Postage costs are non-refundable. *A restocking fee of 15% will also be deducted from your refund amount.

Return postage is at the expense of the purchaser. We will not cover return postage costs and parcels marked "Return To Sender" will be refused.
